Hunter 410 perspective
Ken, I have a Hunter 410, hull number 12 or 14 ( i cant remember which). The boat is overall excellent. I have had some problems but the factory has been extremely responsive and I am completely satisfied. Hunter has got to be the best marine manufacuter when it comes to standing behind their products. Here is a list of the more significant problems: 1) deck leak that had to be found and fixed. It was in the tube that led wires below inside the cockpit console.2)hull leak in the aft locker. This is being evaluated now. 3) minor blister problems, very minor; cheerfully repaired by the factory at their expense. 4) Cockpit sole flexing. Also repaired by the factory. That's about it. There were other minor problems associated with the fit and finish that I took care of myself. Not unusual for a new boat, although for $300,000 more I could have gotten a Hinckley or Pacific Seacraft and had a few less problems. I even have a refrigerator that works well, even in the Texas heat. The 410 is a very good boat. I highly recommend it, especially if you like working on small projects from time to time.
