careful now!

the (ahem) Newport Farnsworths have always been a bit eccentric. Speaking for the rest of the family, we tend to content ourselves with production boats.

Fer shure? Ya' think TonyB?

There might be some people who check in here who have net assets on paper worth over several million after house, second home, boat(s) and other depreciable assets. I agree, this is most likely a hoax, we are being played so lets have some fun too! My offer still stands for $100K/yr as captain/crew/galley slave & steward.

I am loving this thread.

First the guys from Maine find a boat that looks beautiful if expensive, which was part of the criteria; wood, 80'+, historical provenance etc. Then the rest of us mock the blue blooded New England aspect. There really is a Farnsworth on this board and he is in SF, CA and warns that the Newport Farnsworths are a bit 'eccentric'. My offer still stands to survey/captain/crew/galley/steward this boat (once purchased) for $100K/annum.
