Another Zinc Question

I'm preparing for launch next week:dance:. I cleaned the prop and shaft and removed the old zincs. I bought the boat in Oct 07. She had a new zinc put on for the sea trial and I kept the boat in the water for a month. when I launched her in 08 I kept the 07 zinc on and added a new one. When she was hauled out Oct 08 she still had a decent amount of zinc left, even some of the 07 still left.

How many zincs do you usually install on your propeller shaft?

the size of the zinc is not as important as the weight of the zinc. a wasted zinc may still look like a new one in size but the weight is what really counts. If I were you, zincs are cheap and I would put two new ones every year, short of that, your new one every year and keeping the one year old one is not a bad idea.
