I'd sacrifice the trailer, sell a body part for a mooring ball or something... and drive the longer distance.
I say this, but I stay with my local puddle, which is 45 minutes away, ONLY because I'm afraid putting my boat 2 hours away near Sandy Hook, NJ (which is a cool area), would be too far for me to make it sailing 3-5 times a week like I normally get.
Sailing is definitely a trade-off. One must consider the best bang for the buck. So I do get it, but I hate seeing you not sailing.
