Another no sailing summer

I do not tie rainfall to temperatures. Two different "animals".
Weather patterns shift. Always have, and always will. What caused the ice age to end.
Not to many SUV's on the road back then.
Too bad we cannot direct some rain/snow from other places

boat isn't allergic to salt water but the trailer is. 
moorage rates at the coast, and in Portland are significantly higher than we pay at the lake and at least twice as far to drive. If we didn't have to redo he roof on the house I'd give it a go, but I don't want to finance the roof so that's going to eat the extra funds.
i am keeping my eyes peeled for a cheap yak or dink that will fit in the truck.

I'd sacrifice the trailer, sell a body part for a mooring ball or something... and drive the longer distance.
I say this, but I stay with my local puddle, which is 45 minutes away, ONLY because I'm afraid putting my boat 2 hours away near Sandy Hook, NJ (which is a cool area), would be too far for me to make it sailing 3-5 times a week like I normally get.
Sailing is definitely a trade-off. One must consider the best bang for the buck. So I do get it, but I hate seeing you not sailing.
