Really hate to depress anyone with this, but I have my mooring in the river a stones throw from home. Cost about $180 and should last 10 - 15 years with no marina fees. Some of you guys pay more than I did for my boat. Deepest sympathies.

So sorry to hear of your damages and the arrogance they are serving up in response.
Have you considered joining a yacht club? My total cost per quarter (!) for moorage, dues, and all fees is about $445. I have to put in a minimum of 12 work hours per year also, which is easy.
I tie to a new concrete 40 foot finger dock in a well-protected moorage.
It might be worth checking out the clubs in your area.
