Another mildew issue

During the winter, my cushions and seat backs on my Hunter 26.5 have become stained. Two years ago I removed the covers and washed them. (A laborious process since they had upholstery buttons on them.) What is the best way to return them to service without damaging the fabric?

I might have the answer to this one. I did remove the covers and washed them in hot water last year. It took a long time and getting the covers back on was tough as well. This year I bought a "little green machine" by Bissel. The cusions cleaned up real nice in 15 minutes. I used hot tap water and the cleaning solution. $69.95 That being said, if you see my post about mold and mildew on my woodwork below, RichH had advice about dealing with the problem. Now I am a bit paranoid about the cushions... It doesn't have to be this way... Eric
