H31 value
We've had our Hunter 31 since 1986 and put several thousand miles beneath her keel. We have put her through many "tests" and she has come through with flying colors.Compare the new '31s to the used ones and you'll be in for a few surprises. The older ones were better made, have a better layout with more gear, and better ventilation.Keep in mind, these boats are meant to sail fairly flat with about 12-15 degrees heel. They are rather tender and you'll find reducing sail area early makes for a more comfortable ride that doesn't sacrifice on speed.Biggest hassle-no gauges for fuel, water or holding tanks. The Yanmar diesel engine is a true warhorse that keeps on ticking (with proper maintenance).Do your homework and you'll buy the used '31.-Regards,Michael O'"Irish Mist"
