Remember a few months back, when a barge loaded with diesel collided with a tanker in the Mississippi river, in New Orleans. The tug was in the command of an apprentice, and the captain wasn't even aboard. There was an article in the paper yesterday, and the captain finally spoke up. He admitted to not being aboard the tug. Seems as if his brother had called him, and reported seeing his girlfriend with another guy. So the captain, jumps ship, jumps in his pickup, and goes to Illinois to check on his girlfriend, and her supposed cheating. Leaving the tug in command of an apprentice, in the Mississippi river system. This has to be absolutely true, cause if the guy was lying, or making up an excuse, he could certainly come up with something better than this.
