Another BBQ question

My boat was originally setup to handle either LPG or CNG. I use CNG so now my 2 LPG lockers are used for a washdown hose and to store my portable coleman lpg cans for the grill. The problem is that they rust. I have tried storing them in ziplock bags but they still rust.

Anyone know of a way to keep them relatively rust free?

Tim, try plugging the drainage holes of the locker vents (old corks would most likely work, although by Code they are supposed to be min. 1/2 inch). That'll keep out the moist salty sea air, and the locker lids are supposed to be sealed.

Some silica gel packets in the zipper bags with the cylinders will help. Perhaps taping the threaded portion of the cylinders with electrical tape will also help.
