I have mounted on outside of the bow pulpit a 15 pound danforth. It is not my favorite anchor but when I need it it suffices. I have a clip on the toe rail to hold the tripping palm and a line on top of the rail to hold the ring, it works well and is out of the way and then I just run a line to the anchor well and it is stored underneath the rode for my bruce... hope this helps.
With the same boat, I carry a Bruce 33 on the roller, Danforth 10 lunch hook on a pulpit bracket, and a Danforth 22 in the anchor locker. Lots of room for rode and anchors.
