A not to miss!!
Dear Rob, The Newport boat show is a not to miss. I is definitely worth the effort. Coming from a women if your wife enjoys the boat show, history and the ocean, you will enjoy with out a doubt the Newport boat show. I myself have been to both and although Newport is my favorite spot in the entire world I do believe that others will have the same passion. There were many vendors and many sailboats as also rather large motor boats. The surroundings around the boat show are a must see also. The only problem my husband and I have at the Newport boat show is PARKING.. it is a problem we found if we park at this little park just after Thames Street it is our best luck. Don't be afraid to look in Middletown or South Kingston for a room they are very close to where you need to be. There is a Holiday Inn in South Kingston and many hotels in Middletown and also camping in Jamestown which is just over the bridge. I am not sure how many days you plan on attending but there is certainly enough to do after the closing of the boat show at nite, There are many shops and places to eat right on Brick Market Place and also Thames Street. There is also many mansions to tour and please do not miss Brenton Point State Park, Beautiful surrounding there too. I hope you have a wonderful time in whatever you and your family decide to do.
