The show is definitely on

. You can see the tents set up and boats already docked in ego alley. I can remember in years past walking through knee deep water at the show. Definitely a rain or shine event.

It's on, we delivered a Beneteau 50 this weekend for the show. I'll also be working at the Jeanneau display "boat sitting". The weather is looking good according to the latest forecast so it should be a good time. I expect it will be more fun than my regular job

Joan and I will be there on Friday. We plan to attend Don Street's seminar at 9:00 and Bob Bitchin's at 3:00. Otherwise we will be doing some last minute shopping for the trip.

The show always goes on. Worked a show in 2003 and it rained the whole damn weekend. One year the weather was so bad, people were getting sea sick on the docks. They were taking 30-40kts from the NE right into the harbor.

Missed the Newport show so I'll be heading there on Sat......and I lost my favorite Newport hat racing on Sunday (we don't go back for hats when racing) :cry: so I'll have to buy a new hat and make it my new favorite

It's hard for me to remember an Annapolis Boat Show when it didn't rain....

I expect to be at the show Sunday the 10th. I'm usually somewhere in the vicinity of the SpinSheet booth (check with Mollly Winans) or the Good Old Boat booth (Karen Larson/Jerry Powlas).

supposed to be nice on sat.
One year we were heading there and heard 30+ wind gusts so we ditched the show and ended up at the air & space museum at Dulles aitrport and that was a real treat

coming to Annapolis,bringing friends

My wife and I will be there Sunday. Last year was our first visit and loved it. This year we are bringing a couple of kayakers wtih us to try to convert them. We will hit Market House for breakfast and be at the gates early. David Coughlin, Perry Hall, Md.

The weather will be pretty nice. Low 70's and the rain has stopped. I have been there when it was freezing cold and snowy and near 100 degrees and everywhere in between. Always a great place to visit and see what is going on in the sailing industry. For those new to going, here's some things to do besides the show: Naval Academy - Maritime Museum, crypt of John Paul Jones and marina. Food - Oyster Shooters at Middleton. Steamed crabs at Mike's (south River) or Cantler's. O'Leary's Seafood for great seafood. Chart House for great salad bar (old Trumpy Yacht building) and great sailing artifacts. Davie's Pub East Bay for a laid back sailor's bar. Take the water taxi to Carrol's Creek for lunch. Go find Peanuts the bartender and have an after dinner cocktail at the Treaty of Paris. McGarvy's for crab cakes or crab balls. Lots of places to go and do, but don't forget to hit the show too.

Stay out of the Middletown unless you like poor service and bait and switch on the prices. If you're looking for oyster shooters head over to the Boatyard Grill in Eastport instead.

We arrived mid afternoon-the show is indeed on and in grand form. From the outside looking in, things apper to be well in order for Thursday's VIP day. The weather forecast is outstanding for the rest of the show-sunny, 70 degrees-who could ask for more?

Is the Nautical Flea Market any good

We are driving over Saturday and have never used the parking at the Naval Academy. There is advertised a Nautical Flea Market for Saturday and Sunday. Is it worth bothering or should we just ride the shuttle to the show.
