The Annapolis Show is a great time to buy gear. All the big name retailers will be there with some of the best discounts of the year. If you check with the retailer and they do not have a store in your state they'll ship to you tax free. I've picked up more gear than I can remember at the shows so bear with the crowds, it's worth it in my book. Mike

Last year at the Annapolis Boat Show...
I was shopping for a Raymarine E-80 multi-display. The "boatshow special" on this unit at the Defender booth was a free GPS antenna to go with it. The antenna was a $300 value so that's nothing to sneeze at. May get better deals on other brands. My experience is that you can get some sort of discount on many major items such as electronics, boats, props, custom mattresses. I even buy a zinc for my feathering prop each year at the show, at a discount. List $30, show price $25 and no shipping charge.

We got a great deal on the Garmin 3010 network
from Boater's World. Defender couldn't believe it and said they were selling below cost. And some of the best deals for smaller stuff can be found on Monday, since they don't want to take it back. Jim S/V Java
