Annapolis area sailmaker to make a cruising jib?

I got a quote from Bacon's for a new jib (furling) for my Catalina 34 - I thought a very fair price. Chose a reconditioned used one at about half the price only because of other pricey work being done currently.

I have not used them, but Chesapeake Sails recently moved into the rear/ lower level of the Hillsmere True Value Hardware store. Probably an address on Forest Drive, but may Bay Ridge. Near West and Fawcetts.

I just dropped off my main and jib for them to do some restitching the other day. Bay Ridge is their listed address and the easier way in. I haven’t used them before but so far my impression when dropping off was good.

Are you looking for someone to make a stock sail for your boat or design and build a custom cruising genoa? If the latter, you will need a sailmaker to come to the boat and measure for the sail. Do you know enough (not being rude here) to tell the sailmaker what you need or are you going to have to rely on his suggestions?
When I bought this boat it had no staysail. I let the sailmaker design and build one before I'd sailed the boat. He made me a nice yankee cut sail, but after a year or so of sailing with it I realized I'd made a huge mistake and should have had a deck sweeper built instead. So, just a head's up. Be sure you know what you want before you put your money on the table.
I have not had a good experience with UK Halsey; they would not stand behind their work as I wasn't the owner who had paid for the sails. If a sail outlasts ownership, I don't believe that should void the warranty, do you?

Not in Annapolis but we used Precision Sails. Their measuring videos and online consultations made it a great. We got a perfect sail for our boat in the trades. The design staff is extremely knowledgeable.
