I see on the Defender website they are now carrying Rocna anchors and the price point is now below the competitor. Just a point of info for those still interested in a Rocna.
I also notice that a Manson "Boss" anchor is now advertised with some different features. Have you ever looked at the Manson Boss and do you have any comments? Claim to be for powerboats or "extreme holding conditions." Since I am in hurricane alley I am always interested in high holding power. Any comments most appreciated,
Thanks MS.

I have a Manson Supreme on a Hunter 310. It sets easy and holds well even with a 180 swing. Because it sets so well pulling up is a touch harder as I do not have a windlass. The previous anchor I used was a Fortress (Danforth style) good but the Manson Supreme is much better.

Just returned from a few days of sailing myself, and brought along my newest purchase, a 25 lb. Manson Supreme. Tried it out in some pretty stiff breezes, and it was rock-solid. Unfortunately, I had electrical issues that knocked out my anchor light, so I didn't stay out overnight on the lake, but I know I'll sleep better the next time out.
The anchor is huge for my little boat, but I suspect it'll have a place on my next, bigger one.
