First anchor out...

Apostle Islands/Stockton Isl/Quarry Bay

We anchored in 17' water boat blown towards shore 10' water... next morning "seemed like" we were blown out a 1/4 mile out in 30' water but anchor was still in 20' so anchor point only moved a little..

First solo launch, First solo sail Washburn to Bayfield, First solo landing in slip Apostle Isl Marina...First fuel and pump out... Picked up buddy and went out for weekend..

I'm bout ready to go out a pillagin' and a plunderin'...

That's a nice looking boat!

You've got me thinking about painting our hull blue. It's a great look for the crystal clear waters and lush green of those parts!

Yeah, but I'm not ready to condem it yet..

I was short on scope (need to measure/mark my rode) and I didn't do a good job of backing down on the anchor to set it.. Just kinda backed up till the rode got tight, didn't really pull and bury it...

Hey, it was my first time.. I'll need to practice a few more to get the hang of it

Looks like there were a lot of boats around that you might have fouled if the anchor wasn't set! I assume you took the photo from your dink?

Besides my Manson Supreme(love it), I've got two danforth-types ready in the laz, just in case, but I never did sleep well using them unless conditions were calm. So far, you're batting 1000!
