Hi,

Is anyone familiar with a windlass brand by the name of Anchorlift? I am looking for a windlass for the Anchor and a halyard capstan (new main is 540 sq feet) for my new boat that comes with neither. I had a Maxwell on my last boat and was happy but the Anchorlift is considerably less and appears to be of good quality. Apparently they are from Norway and are original equipment on many power boats and have recently started merchandising here in the U.S.

Anchorlift

I have an anchorlift windlass that I bought on line a couple years ago. I am very happy with it. It does not have a free fall release but that has not been a problem for me.

Thanks guys for the info. One of the advantages for me is that Anchorlift main office is located around the corner here in St Pete.
