Anchoring out urgent question

We anchored out in Mobile bay Satuday night and an important question came up as we were eating our boiled shrimp and watching the sunset. Should you suck out the heads of your shrimp??:) It is proper and right to squeese the tail and suck the head of crayfish!!!! :)Is it alright and proper with shrimp??? We would hate to offend the sensibilitys of anyone who might observe our eating habits. Most of the time our shrimp have been beheaded before they reach the table. But these were natural shrimp as they came from the sea. thanks.

Colregs require

that as long as you have anchored at a "reasonable" distance from all other boats and shoreline, you may consume all interior portions of either shrimp or crayfish. "Reasonable" distance is also related to your proximity to the Louisiana Delta region.

suck the heads and drink a beer

We were told it was mandatory to suck the heads and wash it down with a beer- i don't think there is any other way to do it.

so being in Alabama I guess you can go with the Louziana folks and suck 'em or do what we do down in Floridaze and feed 'em to the fish. of course this is illegal so dont the EPA catch ya!

Complaint for Dan of Navarre

A friend at Turner marina told me that he went to fort Mcree a couple of weeks ago and it was cold!!!! Sure the kids went swimming but they are yankees(northern alabama). What kinda hospitality is it when you have to use a sleeping bag in early March!!!! Next thing you know they'll be trying to serve warm oysters and beer in July!!! We've also been noticing all of the pink to bright red people heading north on I-65. People should be cooked slowly under the sun not burned to a crisp!!! Don't you know yankess don't have the sense to get out of the sun???? Put up more signs or make them get a license to go to the beach....

we were over there last weekend (all weekend) the JFK was as Pensacola NAS, got to watch her leave thru the pass. but, the weather was great! a large time was had by all, BTW we do have signs posted on I10, go back! go back! riptides and shark hazard!
