I'm looking for a horizontal manual anchor windlass to fit into the anchor well on my 1997 Hunter 340.All chain 5/16

Love my manual windlass.
For one reason because I do not have Fred's money.
Nor his work ethic. You can see mine at the Related Link. I took mine a step farther and installed a hawse pipe that leads the chain all the way to the bottom of the keel. My feeling is that when cruising battery power is at a premium. An electric really takes its toll if you are reeling in 100' of chain. Then there is the good excercise that you gain. It does take a lot longer and I am very careful not to anchor where the weather could be a problem. I single-handed on the Chesapeake anchoring out at least three times and never had any issues. Then there is the relative cost. That is easy to calculate when you start adding up switches, wire, and in most cases batteries.
