Need help. What model windlass will fit a 340? Huntermarine says that they used a Simpson Lawrence Modified Sprint Atlantic which is no longer available. Most of the vertical windlasses that I've seen have a chain pipe which will not work with the 340. Also, is the small flat ledge in the anchor locker sturdy enough for a windlass? Thanks! Eli

Lewmar bought simpson-lawrence. I'm under the impression that the "new" Lewmar Series V windlass line is an evolution of the old Atlantis series. It would probably be worth your while to contact Lewmar directly.

Hi John: There is no data on the Lewmar site about the V series. Most of the windlasses that I saw have a "Chain pipe" leading to below the deck, not useful for the 340 since the windlass mounts inside the anchor locker...
