Anchor windlass on P-33?

I'm a new owner of a 1987 P-33. Considering installing an anchor windlass, but it seems the anchor locker is quite shallow and even with a horizontal windlass no room for the chain to fall and coil. Has anyone installed a windlass on a P-33, and if so what were the modifications made to make it feasible?
