Anchor Windlass Installation

The windlass looks like it's always been there. Very neat.
I really like the idea of the reversing solenoid in the v-berth. I absolutely agree with your reasons for installing it in a protected area. In the event your new toy quits working, the solenoid is the most likely culprit after bad connection, and being able to swap it out while laying in the v-berth is inspired...

ps- a trawler(or large powerboat, like a Carver) is our future too. it'll be our home in Florida, after the wifr drags me to the mountains.
