Anchor windlass for Cat 28

Anyone install a windlass on a Catalina 28? Have beautiful 1990 model but windlass installation problematic. Any suggestions?RickDances with Waves

Lewmar V700

Hi Rick -While there are many options to consider, if you want to go electric, I'd recommend the Lewmar V700. It's low profile and sized appropriately for your boat. Lewmar (formerly Simpson Lawrence) also makes a manual windlass as an alternative, the Anchorman, but I understand they will be discontinuing this soon.

space problem

Thanks for the recomendation. The issue is the space involved on the foredeck. The triangular hinged anchor locker cover takes the space on the foredeck. There's a vertical flat surface fore and aft in the locker, but space is tight.
