Maine you advised me to not use a swivel on my rode correct? I will have 35lb Lewmar delta plow with shackle to 35' 3/8 bbb chain then splice 5/8 line rite to chain?. red

Yup. Swivels are completely unnecessary, and, pun intended, a weak link in the chain.

Ok my friend who was insisting emailed me and it was a mooring pendant he had the swivel on. Should I use one of those metal half loops inside my braided line connection to the chain ...Red
