Hi
I will impose one more time on you all and see if I can gain some knowledge. I am sure many of you have done this job already.

First of all, the Green Hornet is no more. After a great weekend with super weather, I primed on Saturday and painted the boat Hatteras white on Sunday. All I am missing are the boot stripes and decals. Now I am starting at the bow and working my way back.
First item: Anchor roller.
As you can see, the PO had some bolts through the rollers and the whole thing looks bad. Do I need 4 rollers or just two. Are the rollers, trailer bed rollers or specific for this use. Do I need 2 rollers?? Can I store 2 anchors on the rollers at the same time?? Give me your thoughts.
Second item: Fiberglass bow cover.
This item is paper thin and looks like a beauty cover. I see no value in it. Can I replace it with a teak bow sprite. My first thought was to make a new one out of stainless. I am also considering making one out of teak and holly.
Your thoughts, ideas and pictures are welcomed

Hunter 37 cutter Blind River
Damage is frequently done to the gelcoat on the stem when lifting anchor. I have found no problem with the original setup of Hunter on my 37C. However, the whole thing is a little too flimsy. While you have it off I think I would have a new stainless one made up of stouter stainless. I would also extend one side by perhaps 6 in. so that two anchors will store more easily. I would not extend any more than that as it greatly increases the leverage on the deck. I have seen serious bowsprit and deck damage when people have mounted a really long roller system. I would also make the channels a tad wider as my chain to anchor shackle always jams in it.

As far as the cosmetic cover goes, you can get rid of it. Had the same on my H33 and no consequences for its removal appeared.
