I will be sailing in Table Rock Lkae Branson Mo., my hometown, next week. The bottom is basiclly all ledge rock.
I have a danfort anchor about 14" width. The question is about the length of" rode" chain to use.
Would it be better for me to tie up on stick ups in cove or use what I call mushroom anchors?

Kinda hard to follow all your questions but I'll take a shot at a couple of them. DEPENDING ON WIND STRENGTH, 6 - 12 feet of chain between your anchor and your nylon anchor line should be OK for an inland lake (Great Lakes and the like excluded). A danforth will not do well in rock and a mushroom will be even worse unless you're talking about stopping for a 30 minute lunch on a pretty calm day.

Mark, this is a little off subject but where do you launch on Beaver Lake. We are planning on trailering two 23.5's from Wichita, Ks. The other 23.5 owner has a daughter that lives in Belle Vista so we are debating weather to camp on the boats on the lake, or seek lodging so we can easily rendezvous with his daughter, her husband and their newborn. Do you know if any of the marinas in that area offer short term slip rental? If so, which one? We are looking at spending 4 or 5 days on the lake.

Thanks,
Dave L
