Thanks, Terry

To Stu and Higgs, thank you for your comments. The purpose of my reply, which I have made many times before over the years on this forum, is that our specific ground tackle configuration works for us. I would hope that some might find this knowledge worthwhile.

Well intentioned and insightful. Your experiences that you've share about your gear has been very helpful over the years.

Guys Terry..

Guest, who did not start this thread, is telling us for the "umpteenth time".... Have I missed something?
Guys,

"Guest" is Terry Cox. He's been here for a long time but has recently decided not to register. I don't know why, maybe he thinks more anonymity but we can still see his IP address so the anonymity thing is just not there any more than if he registered as T. Cox or T.C...

He's not new!

Frankly, Terry, I think you might be brilliant!

Your old logon has had 183 visits, so the mystery thing is working for you. The only LOGICAL reason to comment as "guest" would be that your old posts wouldnt be accessible as easily as if you logged on under your former name. I'm sure the moderators and other talented guys can, but it is harder.

I'm sure there are other valid reasons, but regardless, I am enjoying the "pot stirring" the last couple of days.;)

And, I find your input valuable, so either way, keep 'em coming...

What do you mean by -I do what I did-? Do you mean that what I did is what you would have recommended?

Hi,
We sail the same waters? I have a heavy hi tensile danforth and am happy with it as a primary anchor. Not to get into the mix in this thread, I will add that the danforth anchor has been around for a long time, has many fans and if set properly with enough scope is fine! An oversized anchor matched to the right bottom, with plenty of scope, dug in hard are the basics.
