I need help in making an anchor locker for my 1980 33' Hunter Sloop. I purchased a manual windlass but, not sure how to route the chain once it comes off the windlass. I am in DESPERATE. Any help would be great. Thank you

Check the photo forum Search for h33 78-83. There are three articles that may help. Two of bowsprit and mine for a bow roller. I have found that with bowroller, anchor handling is not difficult, even with a chain rode. Just sit on the aft edge of the anchor locker with feet in the locker and use arms and back to raise anchor.

solution to the problem.. though I don't regret building my bowsprit, I think Terry's solution is probably one of the best straight forward approaches. I do love my bowsprit and it does allow me to run a spinnaker well forward of the bow, if all you want to do is handle your anchor, Terry's got it nailed. If you want to build a bowsprit to handle it, Dave Foster did one, and I did one, both different, but both work.
