The thru-hull fittings on my 1985 28.5 for the anchor locker drain and the fresh water tank overflow are showing signs of age and too much sun. How can I get inside the hull to reconnect the hoses if I replace the fittings?
I bought the entire fitting for the head overflow but only replaced the exterior 'mushroom'; the interior piece was not sun damaged. Of course I did keep the interior elbow incase it gives out. To get to the anchor locker drain you will ned to remove the forward plywood bulkhead in the 'V' berth and that should gain you access but I don't remember how much room there is to work on it.
