anchor locker drains

I recently discovered one or both my anchor locker drains are leaking into the bilge and probably have been since the boat was made in 1985. The floor of the locker has rotted out and the ends of the v berth boards are also damaged. If anyone else has had this problem I would like to know what you did to repair this.I would also be happy to dicuss other points of interest concerning the O'day 40. One last thought, a friend of my is looking for an O'day 322, are there any out there that are not already on Yacht World?

Anchor Locker Leaks

hi, jAMES When I read your post about this problem I said another person has this problem like we had. It took me many hours and time to find where the water was comming in and it was leaking through the anchor locker holes and going down under the V berth the water was leaking between in the foam core. THE way I soled this problem got a piece of vinyal tubing and insert it in the hole ans used some Life Sealant or caulk. This solved this leaking down under the V berth into the bldge.  The way I found this leak was while we was sailing I was up in the V berth with a flashlite and when the bow hit a wave I saw the water seep ih and down under the V berth.
