I have a 2001 model 410. Noticed on my last trip that my anchor light is out. Boat is 125 miles away and I do not have manuals with me (assuming it would be in there). Does anyone know what the part number for the Anchor light bulb replacement may be? Do not want to make multiple trips up the mast if can be helped. Thank you. Tim

Me too

Tim, My anchor light is out also and I was thinking the same thing. I have a 1996 37.5 that we just bought and don't want to make numerious trips up. I have a manual that lists the light fixture and figured I might be able to use that to buy a bulb from West Marine or Blue Water Ship Store but not sure that the fixture listed is the one on my boat. I would be interested to know if anyone has the part number for a 37.5. They may be the same for both boats.

Replacement bulbs

The masthead light is an Aqua Signal 40 series. it uses a 10 watt bulb. Aquasignals bulb number is 90400005 for the 10 watt 12 volt model. It will cost you $15-20. I put in a First Star LED bulb this year. It plugs into the fixture and draws much less than one watt and should last for many years. It also has a photo transistor and switches on and off automatically. $110 plus $5 shipping. http://www.firststarled.com/ Bill

The biggest problem

is that the Aqua Signal fixtures will corrode where the bulb plugs in. Replaced my fixture about 5 years ago and it is acting up again. They are easy to replace when the mast is down, but a challenge when the stick is up.

First Star

We replaced our standard anchor light with the Fisrt Star LED cluster light last year. It has worked great. Draws very little power and supposedly will last a long time. The model that we have includes a light sensing cell that will not actually turn the light on until ambient light drops below some level; very useful when leaving the boat during the day and planning to come back at night. There is an issue with CG certification. The facts are that you can see the light as well and as far as any other anchor lights in an anchorage. A bit pricey, but we love ours.
