The anchor light on my 1981 Hunter 30 went out this weekend and I don't know which light bulb to get to replace it. I would rather get the bulb before going up the mast to save time. Does anyone know what type of bulb I need to replace it?

This may not help much, but at some point I made note of the bulb in my '81H30. The number etched onto the bulb's base appears to be 1416 of 1418--it was really hard to make out the last digit. Unfortunately, I can't tell you anything else about it. I'd appreciate any more enlightenment you can provide once you've done the job. Good luck on high.

Our's went out to. I got a replacement bulb only after going up and taking out old one. Now for the bad news....we put in a new bulb....still no light. Replaced complete light housing assembly....still no light. I decided to go without one for a season or two as it is obviously a wire inside the mast. Only way to fix is to remove the mast and run new wire. So, like I said, I hope you have better luck than me. Doug

My hunch is we can get the data. However... owners change fittings over the years, Hunter may switch hardware suppliers during a production run, model numbers change... there would be just enough uncertainty about the value of the data to make it a lot less valuable than you'd think. I sure wouldn't want to around when the first guy climbed the mast to discover he had the wrong bulb.
