Anchor bow roller

I would like to install an anchor/bow roller on my 1977 Cat 30. The pulpit apears to be mounted right in the way (I have the older rounded style bow pulpit). Has anyone ever done this and, if so, how? I use a Bruce 22# most often so it should fit o.k.. Please advise!

I have a 1982 catalina 30 with the newer pulpit (two rails) and a bow roller. Unfortunately it is too darn short to leave my bruce (22lb) on it! It does make pulling the anchor tons easier!The roller I have (already installed by a previous owner) is just bolted through the deck right next to the forstay fitting (not sure of the name). It works, but I would prefer something more hefty.I have seen other catalinas with a bow roller bolted to the deck and to the forstay fitting (seems much more secure to me). I would be tempted to upgrade except with my luck the existing hole pattern in the deck would not line up and a new roller is about 75.00!The catalina 30 next to mine is the old style pulpit with a bow roller.
