Although it's still too early to tell for sure, it's beginning to look like Sandy is headed our way. Due to financial and time constraints, I can't haul before the storm so the boat will be riding it out at the dock. I know to double up all lines, and make sure everything is buttoned up tight, (yes the sails are already down) but I was wondering whether it's a better idea to lighten the boat as much as possible or does not make that much differance? I was thinking things like emptying water tanks, removing extra stuff, etc..
