I have a Legend 37.5 (1994). I've added two Bose Marine flush- mount speakers in place of the factory speakers (sound great) in the aft lockers. I want to add two (Bose) box speakers on top of the house, under the dodger, faceing aft. I also want to add two box speakers below, one above the Nav Station and one oppisite it on the port side. I, lastly, want to mount an electric horn on the Bow Pulput and be able to acctuate it from the helm. PROBLEM: How to string (hide) the wires??? At a glance, it looks like Hunter Corp has not allowed much access for after-market wireing changes. I suspect this may be a common problem with Hunter owners. Has anyone out there in the Cyber-Sea ever licked this one?? If so, please advise how you tackled the wireing.

On my 37, the wiring for the running lights on the pulpit run through the stainless tube, down through a hole in the deck into the forepeak. From there they run behind cabnitry, bewteen deck and headliner, or whereever. Get a fish tape at home depot...it will help, and put a bit of dishwashing liquid on the wire to get it to slide through the tight spots. The wonderful world of boating. for speakers... follow some other wires and see where they run. some of mine run under the sole from the port (where the switch panel is) to starbord through some runs. This is basically between the setees and then under these to whereever they are headed.

My advice....
...is to run the wiring into the anchor locker and then down the inside of the V berth peak to under the V berth bed. The floor boards are easily removed and there is plenty of room to run the wiring back as far as you need. When you reach the engine compatment just follow the wiring harness to the helm.
