That's not really true. From what I recall, British beers are made to be served at a warmer temp, not necessarily warm.

"Cellar temperature" is the norm in England. Probamlybtypicallybin the 52 degrees range. Most of the pubs, at least when I was there, didn't have refrigeration for the kegs, but cellars tend to keep a relatively uniform temperature and that's what you got...
