America likes COLD BEER

My European fridge, at least the compressor, is a Danfoss 12-volt MADE IN GERMANY. Works great--plenty cold--uses R134a. Now at least 17 years old. A label is on the compressor that gives that information (except the year). As to cold beer, a barely chilled IPA is good enough and I can get that by submersion in the 60 deg (or less) water here in California. If too cold, it spoils or hides the flavor of the beer. What's the point of a "craft beer" if the craft part is obscured? Otherwise, I drink Pussers at RT.

Silly... cold is 35, warm is above that, but I'm on a diet and only drink 24 light beers when needed.:deadhorse:

That danfoss compressor has what's known as the 4 wire controler old style its an r12 refrigerant and should be at 35 psi on suction side on a 75 to 80 deg day you got to do the Celsius conversion and yes watch the penguin YouTube videos give it a shot of refrigerant and check return line for frost and getting r12 shouldn't be too hard only need 1 pound again American mesurments I'd ship you a pound but between customs and the plane thing it wouldn't get to ya

Hard to beat a good quality cold amber, two come to mind; Boundary Bay Scotch Ale and Lighthouse Race Rocks Ale. Now, the two British sailors that are a part of our little flotilla keep their beer in the bilge and consume only from room temperature glasses. To each his own.
