[Before the Bell]

Just saw a movie this evening on AMC, Elvis played a former owner yet manager of a set of four boats. His favorite was a beautiful sailboat he and his father built by the name I believe of the "West Wind". Does anyone know this movie, the make of his vessel and any other details. The boat looked a bit like the Herreshoff style of boat building, sleek, shapely and beautiful.

This question came up in this Forum earlier. I believe the movie is 'Girls,Girls,Girls!' The question also was asked what the make was of the wooden sloop, but got no response. Probably is a Herreshoff design but not sure. Hope this helps.

Is indeed the name and the West Wind was a fine looking sloop. I'll do an internet search later and see what is out there on the movie.
