Am I the only one?

Am I the only O'day 28 owner out there with six opening ports? All of the other 28's I have seen have four opening ports with a long fixed port light. I am guessing that the original owner had this boat made to order with this port arrangements. I'm really just curious to know if my 1980 boat is the only one of it's kind out there. Doesn't make the boat any better just different.

That was an option

I have seen a few O'DAY 28s with 6 opening ports instead of the 4 opening and 2 longer fixed ports. It must have been an option (although not mentioned in my preliminary 1979 flyer). Standard design of the 1979 O28 had 4 large fixed ports (2 per side) in the main cabin and 2 small fixed ports in the forward cabin (1 per side). The later models (1984 vintage) had 2 large fixed ports (1 per side) and 4 opening ports (2 per side).

I appreciate the info. Toothdawg, do you know the opening size for the main salon ports. Mine need replacing and PYHI is out of the business of making ports. I suppose Rudy may have them but I bet they cost a zillion bucks.
