Traveling down the ICW can be a wonderful trip. Going thru the Norfolk area, plan to stay alert and not to venture over toward the Naval ships particularly NOB as you will be stopped. Also CG is boarding in that area due to the military prescence. So have all gear and registration accessible.
You will have no issues with the 320 to bridging but sound advice if going thru the ICW particularly the Alligator River section and Dismal Swamp Canal, do not travel at night. Oriental is a good destination but there is a bridge with 45 foot clearance but nothing on the other side of the bridge to go to. . In Charleston, expect a swift current and make sure you are up to date on any shoaling in that area.
