Aluminum mast and boom

What do you all use to keep boom and mast looking good?

Aluminum creates its own protective surface. When down I knocked off the heavy dirt bits. Then smoothed the mast with a fine scotch bright pad. Now it's back up and making its own surface.

Others paint thier mast. This means constant repainting. I'm
