Find a small mom & pop alt shop they can likely fix it in short order for short money.. Those Mando's are not the easiest to find but can be fixed by a competent shop...
If you are in a real pinch call Hansen Marine in Marblehead, MA they are the Westebeke distributor. Be prepared to pay about 4X what the alt is worth though..

I found a eBay site that sells the Mercruiser version for $77.48 plus shipping. It's a 65 amp alternator and is exactly the same case as the original. Just pay attention to the wiring configuration when you undo your original and you should be fine. http://www.amazon.com/MERCRUISER-VOLVO-MARINE-MANDO-ALTERNATOR/dp/B004JVI7WE

Mando 50 Amp
I replaced my mando a few years ago with a Mercruiser one for about $75.00. I could have gotten the replacement/repair parts for $45 plus shipping and the guy had the Mercruiser one right there. I got the alternator home and matched them up and laughed as they were identical except for the name plates. Mando IS the OEM for a lot of the "alternator brands."

Thank you - By the way, I checked out the link to the site and I see a 100 amp Delco unit, marine rated for only $78.00 NEW... have to read up on this.
