Alternator Bracket

I finally got around to putting the alternator bracket modification on the Universal M-25 in my '84 C-30. Problem is that the manifold bolts don't seem to be long enough and the old adjusting arm won't work. Do I need to replace these parts also, and if so are the available from Universal. Thanks

Same problem

I have a Cat 30 1986 with a Universal 25 and also installed the modification kit this past season. The adjusting arm would not work. It was just a bit short. After many phone calls I determined that the alternator on my boat was not the standard one. It had been upgraded to a larger one. I had to have a new adjusting arm made. The mod. kit is only made to fit the factory installed alternator.
