Hello Members, I'm in the middle stages of changing the alternator bracket on our Universal 25 diesel. Have had the gear case housing repaired by R-Way Tooling of NJ. Have some parts including the new bracket for the exhaust manifold. (1) Have any of you done this change? (2) Did you need to change the studs through the manifold? Mine are too short to use and there are new ones in the kit. I'm interested to see if they are longer. (3) What method did you use to remove the old studs? Any suggestions (especially ones that worked) would be appreciated. My plan is to use vice grips after soaking the threads in some of the popular loosening chemicals. Upgraded bracket will not use the "ear" where the old bracket attached to the case. (4) Any precautions you could share from your experience? Project #2: Decided to replace one forward motor mount that is rusted. The other one was replaced before our ownership. Any ideas on that job? Thanks, Phil

Hello Stu, Thanks for the pictures and the info on the bracket change and the tool to tension the belt. The project is only hampered now by slow receiving of parts. I now know more about the M25 than I ever wanted to know, but I'm sure that knowledge is a good thing. Thanks again, Phil
