Several months ago there was a thread in which someone mentioned he was using part of a stainless steel chain stopper in another application: maybe as a replacement for a mast-stepping bracket?
I don't recall the title of the thread or I'd go look it up. Did a little browsing, but so far no joy.
I'll attach a pic of the kind of chain stopper I think we were talking about.
Does anybody remember the thread, or the chain-stopper adaptation idea I'm trying to describe?
