Almost ready to cross

Joan and I are in Jupiter, Fl with about 30 miles to go before we stage over to the Bahamas. We expect weather to be in our favor Thursday and/or Friday. We expect to lose phone/Wifi for awhile until we figure it out.

Crossing to the Bahamas

From where and to where Jim? In just two or three days, what a lucky guy. You wouldn't want to be up here. Picture is from our dining room this evening. As I write this it is 14 degrees with a windchill below zero.

Are you choosing Thursday because winds from the Southern half of the compass, i.e. not opposing the Gulf Stream current, are forecast for Jupiter and Freeport ? Are there other weather factors you are taking into account ?
