Isaac is history. We had no power for a couple of days, couldn't get out of the sub division due to flooded streets. But basically no damage to anything. Just got internet back on tonight. Don't know about those a little west of me over in the New Orleans area. Still much of the area without power, and may not be all back on till the end of the week. But, here in Slidell, it's over with.

Glad to hear it, I wondered how you all fared...again.
I stayed in Slidelll for one night about 3 weeks ago on my way to Texas and was amazed at how the place had changed since my last visit right after Katrina with a church group. I tried to find some of the houses we worked on but had no luck, however, I did find the Camelia Cafe and would definitely stop there again!!

Good to hear, Phil. I don't think we have power yet at the marina in Mandeville.

The power at my marina was restored on Sunday. The most significant damage at my marina was a 32' Westsail which sank in its slip during the storm and was raised on Sunday. Other than a few external gel coat scratches, it looked fine. The interior may be a different story.

News reports made it sound like Slidell was hard-hit, and I'm sure it was. I think your preparation is key.

Anyway, Friday night we were anchored and listening to Lucinda Williams on the CD and I was thinking about you, hoping all was well. I guess you can go back to Slidell and find your "Joy" ...
