The guy, Chris, who replied to my sailboat for sale ad, gave an email address that is invalid. It is; "crideour.trg@gmail.con" and he is from Oakvillle, Ont. Does anyone Know him or the correct email address? Thanks, Jim

You might try .co which some people are using now.

Most Canadian emails end with .ca give that a try

It's kinda unusual to have a "." in the part before the @. Try removing that and see where you get. I think gmail is going to be gmail.com regardless of Canada.

There have been many frauds committed and attempted in response to boat sale ads. The fact that you got an invalid e-mail address might be a red flag. Beware of anything out of the ordinary and wait for a check to finally clear before releasing anything.

EC, would you mind posting his message (minus any personal information)? We can usually tell if it's a scam by reading it. Not always, but sometimes.

I am surprised that other sailors with Atomic Fours did not respond to this. I redid the A4 in GOOD TRADE a few years ago, and posted the results. My parts and expertise came from Ken Moyer at Moyer Marine. To contact Ken via E-Mail, his address is MMSI.Ken@GMail.com (Moyer Marine Services Inc (I think)), dot to further direct to "Ken," and then at GMail dot com.

That said, I have to agree, if he wanted the boat, he would have tracked it back to the author.
