All You Houston Sailors

A couple of us are coming out there the first week in February for the ASA conference. I am looking for the best place around to get Chicken Fried Steak and some BBQ. Not looking for a fancy place in the Galleria but the sort of place locals go that if you did not know it would be scared to go into.

I am from San Antonio and those are the two things that I really miss living out here. I have entertained the thought of skipping out of the conference long enough to jet out to Luling or Lockhart maybe even stop in Shiner but I am not traveling on my dime so I guess I should get their moneys worth of what they sent me out there for.

Anyone with a good suggestion and wants to join us I'll buy the first round.

Thanks for the heads up up Tbone Tom's. It was right down the street and was as good as any Chicken Fried Steak I've had anywhere. Wanted to go back but they kept us pretty busy and could not squeeze it in.
