I see that you have a stainless steel sink in there. I just installed one in my boat last year and I think that I'm going to like it. I haven't installed a molding in back of my sink yet. So I plan on doing it this month. Joe

Thanks Joe, I still need to install the faucet. But the thought did occur to me to just hook up the sink drain and use it as an ice chest to cool down drinks.

what type of materials? did you use in the loft area and on the interior lining what kind of material? and on the stain wood what kind of wood? how many coats of finished mike

Thanks Mike, I have to preface my answer by saying, I do little woodworking, making furniture etc. As such I redesigned some aspects that I thought would work better. The Oday hinged counter top was replaced with a solid piece That opening under the counter was recut to accommodate my radios. The V berth plywood is fixed in place and I cut access holes. I painted the interior with a good quality exterior house paint, and primer, Behr. It's all in the prep work for this. I tried using a compressor. It worked greta for the nooks and cranies, but I was not impressed with all the mess and coverage so I switched to a foam roller. I would recommend the foam roller. It put on a very smooth finish. I used 1/2 inch oak plywood for the bulkheads and galley. The “compression post” is solid oak. The finish is a custom blend of minwax with 3 coats on polyurenthane, not thinned. The v berth is just plain painted plywood. The lining is a vinyl lining I bought at an auto interior supply shop. The galley counter is a laminate. With the exception of the liner you can get everything and the hardware store. Expect to do a lot of fine tuning to fit the wood pieces. Since your referbing I would suggest installing an MP3 radio and speakers I’ll be happy to answer questions as you go onward. -Doug
